This is the first compilation issued by Paul after the Beatles' breakup.
Wings Greatest is released on December 1st, 1978 as a
Christmas album.

It contains two songs written by Paul as a solo performer: Another Day (single) and Uncle Albert / Admiral Hasley (from the Ram album).

Silly Love Songs and Let'Em In from the
Wings At The Speed Of Sound album,  With A Little Luck from London Town, Band On The Run and Jet from the Band On The Run album and My Love from Red Rose Speedway.

Part of this compilation are several Wings singles which were not originally included on any album like Live And Let Die, Junior's Farm, Hi Hi Hi and Wings' biggest hit Mull Of Kintyre.

Three albums are not represented in this compilation:

McCartney, Wings Wild Life and Venus And Mars.

It's a pity because songs like Maybe I'm Amazed and Listen To What The Man Said had really their place in this compilation.
